The last few days of November and the first week of December 2022 have several interesting releases lined up for entertainment enthusiasts. Many much-awaited shows and sequels will be released this week, both in the international and Indian contexts.
For lovers of Indian regional content, films like Love Today, Monster, Love 360, 1996 Dharmapuri, and Kochaal will stream on platforms like Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, Aha Video and others. These films have been popular hits during their theatrical run and have received positive responses from critics and the audience. With this line-up, it is sure that fans will have a well-planned week ahead.
The superhit television show, Kaisi Hai Yaariyan, is also coming back with a new season. The show, for the first time, will debut on an OTT platform, i.e., Voot Select. The show gained popularity among the youth, where the lead characters, Manik and Nandini, became television favourites. With this new season, there is a buzz already that it will be a hit once again.
Mainstream Bollywood films have also taken a direct OTT release approach in recent times. This week, Kartik Aaryan’s Freddy will stream on Disney+ Hotstar and is touted to be an important film for him, as he will be seen in a new character. Besides this, the recently released film, Goodbye, which garnered critical acclaim, will also stream on Netflix.

The makers have showcased four films in the feature, and the premise focuses on a father-daughter duo from two different cities, the troubles faced by a sex worker and her troubles minimal resources as a migrant worker and an air hostess. Love Today revolves around a Software Engineer, Uthaman Pradeep, who is in a relationship with his colleague Nikitha. They want to get married. However, her sly father wants to test their relationship and hence puts forward a strange deal where they must exchange their mobile devices for one day and share the password. If they continue to be in love even after this activity, they can get married with consent. Both agree to this halfheartedly, and as they begin to use each other’s phones, several hidden truths come forward. While Pradeep confronts Nikitha’s chats, her father instructs Nikitha to restore the WhatsApp messages which Pradeep had cleared before exchanging the phones. What follows is a series of events which lead to an interesting climax.
