Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara has finally crossed the 400 Cr milestone, it is currently on its 8th week and still churning out moolah week in and week out. It recently marked its 50-day run at the box office and crossed the 400 Cr feat on the 8th Sunday.
It is now nearing the end of its run, it is expected to finish its run with a 410-415 Cr lifetime. It is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films it is the 2nd back to back movie for the studio to cross this rare milestone, the other is KGF2.
Kantara will soon debut on OTT platforms which will bar its earnings to some extent, however, the job has been done.

The film is made with a budget of 16 crores and has reaped huge profits for its buyers. The 52 days WW box office collection of Kantara stands at 402.52 Cr which includes Rs 358.52 Cr in India and Rs 44 Cr overseas. This is a huge return on investment for a small film, it has become one of the most profitable films of 2022 like KGF2 and The Kashmir Files.

Karnataka: Rs 168.50 Cr
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (Telugu states): Rs 60 Cr
Tamil Nadu: Rs 12.70 Cr
Kerala: Rs 19.20 Cr
North India: Rs 96 Cr
Overseas: Rs 44.50 Cr

Kantara has become the 5th south Indian film to cross the 400 Cr mark after KGF2, RRR, Vikram and Ponniyin Selvan in 2022. Along with this, Kantara has also netted the 300 Cr mark in the domestic market becoming the 3rd film to do so this year after KGF2 and RRR.
Kantara is estimated to have earned Rs 0.57 Cr nett on the 8th Mon (day 53) and Rs 0.54 Cr on day 54. The film remains stable on the weekdays however on the lower side. As per the early estimations, it will collect around 45L on Wed (day 55) for a total domestic cume of 305.11 Cr nett.
