The upcoming Friday will be no less when it comes to exciting content for the movie buffs in the theatres or on the OTT platforms. So, mark the calendar and get the popcorn ready as we bring a slate of movies that we have compiled and think should be on your radar.
Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer “Brahmastra” dominating the box office across India currently. It will be interesting to see who will give stiff competition to the said film, this week.
Much-anticipated films like “Laal Singh Chaddha” and “Raksha Bandhan” have been pulled from many theatres owing to their dull performance at the box office, newly release “Liger” has also been rejected by the audience amid this, all eyes will be on the forthcoming big-ticket movies to end the drought at the BO.

Last Friday Release Brahmastra 1st Weekend Report
Telugu movie Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali or AAGMC stars Sudheer Babu and Krithi Shetty in the main lead roles. It is a relationship drama set to hit the cinemas on 16 Sept 2022. Mohan Krishna Indragati has directed the flick, it is his third directorial venture with the Sudheer after Sammohanam and V.
It has already been raining hits in TFI. There are 12 films that emerged as clean hits in 2022 and of these 12, 4 movies (Sita Ramam, Bimbisra, Karthikeya 2 and Brahmastra-Telugu version) got the tag of clean hits in just two months. Now, all the hopes are on Sudheer-Kirthi starrer to emerge as the 13th clean hit Tollywood flick of 2022.
 
Maanaadu fame Silambarasan is all set to make a grand entry on the big screens with the highly buzzed crime drama “Vendu Thanindhathu Kaadu” on Sept 15. As per the reports, the actor will sport three different looks in the movie, the report also states that he had to lose and gain weight for the role. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and actress Siddhi Idnani in the lead role opposite Simbu.
 
The upcoming Friday release Punjabi film “Maa Da Ladla” will revolve around a single mother (Neeru Bajwa) who is looking for an eligible father for her son. The main lead opposite Neeru, Tarsem Jassar will portray a not-so-wealthy man, he further agrees to be the father of Neeru’s kid, for money. The story is imbued with hilarious comedy scenes and is a family drama.
 
Bollywood film Middle Class Love is a romantic film set in the middle-class milieu, and revolves around love triangle. Produced by Anubhav Sinha and helmed by his wife Ratnaa Sinha, MDC Love will be out in theatres on 16 Sept 2022. It is a Himesh Reshammiya musical. Anubhav Sinha and Zee Studios jointly presented the film under A Benaras Media Works Production.
 
singer-cum-actor Diljit Dosanjh will soon be seen in Netflix’s Jogi which is arriving on the platform, Sept 16, Friday. It is based on 1984’s anti-Sikh riots. Jogi is a story of friendship, courage and hope. Diljit is essaying the titular character, other actor includes Kumud Mishra, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, Hiten Tejwani, Amyra Dastur and Paresh.
 
Netflix brings you another film on Friendship this Friday, that revolves around Vince (Ed Skrein), who is trying to revive his career. It is helmed by Eddie Sternberg, it marks his debut feature film, he is known for short film Out of Body. Will start streaming from Sept 16th on Netflix.
Apart from the aforementioned exciting movies, Drifting Home will come out on Netflix on 16 Sept and much awaited Ramarao on Duty-Telugu will have its OTT debut on Sony Liv on Sept 15th.
