Today, the makers of another movie have announced that they will be taking this route. We are talking about the Tamil language film titled Witness, which is opting for a direct-to-OTT release. The film trailer has already dropped online, announcing its OTT platform and OTT release date. The movie was earlier supposed to have a theatrical release, but the plans have changed now. SonyLIV, the OTT platform, announced the release date of the feature film Witness. Sharing the announcement, they wrote, “Sony LIV presents “Witness.” A political drama by director Deepak talks about the brutal reality of manual scavenging, starring Shraddha Srinath and Rohini, will be streaming on December 9th”. From the trailer and the caption, it can be understood that the movie will be an edgy thriller, rolled with emotions and elements of political drama. The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam audio languages.
Deepak is the director and the cinematographer of the movie. TG Vishwa Prasad is the producer of Witness. It is presented by People Media Factory. It stars Shraddha Srinath, Rohini Molleti, Shanmugarajan, Rajeev Anand, and Selva.

The movie revolves around the brutal truth behind manual scavenging and the deaths caused by it. A defiant mother decides to fight back against the death of her son, and a young woman with conscience fights alongside her. Though the mother knows she cannot take on the powerful, she still wants to make them answerable in court.
