Lady superstar Nayanthara is gearing up to make her next venture in Malayalam through the movie ‘Gold’ and she will be collaborating with Prithiviraj Sukumaran for the first time. Gold is directed by Alphonse Puthiren and this intriguing drama will most likely arrive in the theatres in December 2022.
Both Premam and Neram, two films by Alphonse Puthren with Nivin Pauly in the lead, are famed for the director, which earned a strong fanbase from both Tamil and Telugu movie buffs. Leading actors Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara are being enrolled by the director for the first time for his upcoming film. According to the most recent rumors, Alphonse intends to release the film on December 2.
A formal announcement is still awaiting, though. The movie’s initial release date was set for September. But the director earlier admitted that post-production issues might cause the movie to be delayed. The long wait appears to be over as the buzz started shortly following a social media post from actor Baburaj that hinted at the movie’s release. He wrote “GOLD… waiting….too long for perfection… it’s over now…..Alphonse Puthren and team congratulations DECEMBER RELEASE,” on his Facebook handle.
Besides Prithviraj and Nayanthara, the cast of Gold features Roshan Mathew, Deepti Sati, Chemban Vinod Jose, Saiju Kurup, Shammi Thilakan, Vinay Forrt, Ajmal Ameer, and Sabumon Abdusamad. Nayanthara was last seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal in Tamil, and Nizhal in Malayalam.
Alphonse Puthren directed, edited, and wrote the movie, which was produced by Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames. The film’s plot revolves around the incidents that occur over the course of four days in the life of Joshi, a mobile shop owner who buys a new car because of an impending marriage to Radha. Rajesh Murugesan is the film’s composer, and Amazon Prime Video owns the digital rights to the movie.
