Many netizens pointed out that the logo for Xilinnayi Gao’s new mini album is similar to the previous aespa design. This made him accused of plagiarism.
In response to the accusations, his studio stated, “This logo was inspired by the painting Xilinnayi Gao created in July 2020, which is represented by the characters X and G in his name and we have been using it ever since.”
After the label spoke up, Xilinnayi Gao also shared on social media the song “TIng,” which is part of the newly released mini album. Netizens think that this is the female idol’s way of responding to malicious rumors.

aespa became the third K-Pop group to get Billboard’s fantastic sales. In first place was BLACKPINK ( Black Pink ) with “The Album” which sold 100 thousand albums, then TWICE through “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” with sales of 66 thousand albums.
aespa is also the fastest female K-pop artist in history to chart two albums in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 so far. Previously, this record was held by TWICE. Aespa’s first mini album “Savage” reached number 20 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart last year.
