The K-Pop Industry Is Currently Entering Its Fourth Generation. However, LE SSERAFIM And A Number Of These Groups Have Lost Their Members Shortly After Their Debut. Anyone?

The K-Pop industry is increasingly popular with the international public. Please note that K-Pop has an extraordinary history, so it can be worldwide as it is now. Broadly speaking, K-Pop is divided into several generations. Each generation has its own characteristics, ranging from fashion styles to musical genres.

The first generation of K-Pop began in 1994. At that time groups such as Seo Taiji and Boys , HOT , Turbo , Sechs Kies , to SES were popular at that time. 1. Stray Kids

This boy group from JYP Entertainment made its official debut on March 25, 2018. Stray Kids received a positive response when they released their debut song entitled “District 9”. But unfortunately, Kim Woojin was announced to leave the group on October 28, 2019. So Stray Kids became only 8 members. Kim Woojin’s sudden exit did not escape the slanted rumors. Fortunately, the issue was proven to be a hoax and Kim Woojin is currently focusing on a solo career.

2. (G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE ‘s popularity has skyrocketed since they debuted on May 2, 2018. However, Soojin himself has decided to leave the group on August 14, 2021. However, Cube Entertainment has again announced that the contract with Soojin has officially ended since March 5. Now, (G)I-DLE is focusing on a career with 5 members.

3. The Boyz

The Boyz is often cited as one of the groups that started the 4th generation of K-Pop. This Younghoon cs debuted at the end of 2017, so the focus of promotion in 2018. But apparently, Hwall chose to leave the group due to health problems and The Boyz became an 11-member formation. He is now focusing on being a solo singer and actor with his real name, Hur Hyun Jun .

4. Weekly

The artist who is in the same agency with The Boyz also experienced the same thing. Shin Jiyoon decided to leave Weekly on July 1. Jiyoon officially left the 2-year-old group due to health factors and Weekly focused on a career with OT6.

5. AB6IX

AB6IX debuted on May 22, 2019. However, they had to lose their leader Lim Youngmin due to a drunk driving scandal. Even so, Lee Dae Hwi did not give up and continued his comeback with 4 members.

6. Cherry Bullet

Unmitigated, Cherry Bullet lost 3 members at once in the first year of its debut. FNC Entertainment announced that the contract with Mirae , Kokoro , and Linlin has ended since December 2019. Cherry Bullet has officially become 7 members. However, Mirea decided to debut at PIXY under the stage name Ella .

7. Secret Number

This is a K-Pop group known as the first member from Indonesia, namely Dita Karang . Secret Number started his career with a 5 member formation on May 19, 2020. Unfortunately, Denise has left the group because her contract with the agency expired last February.

Interestingly, Secret Number chose to unload members. Denise indeed had a hiatus before leaving the group. At that moment, VINE Entertainment introduced two new members, namely Minji and Zuu . Now, Secret Number is promoting with a 6 member formation.

8. Woo! Ah!

woo! ah originally debuted with 6 members on May 13, 2020. But unfortunately, Songyee chose to leave after debuting for 3 months. Since then woo! ah! focus on a career with 5 members only.

9. Signature

Cignature debuted on February 4, 2020 with 7 members. However. Ye Ah and Sunn left the group on April 27, 2021 for no undisclosed reason. However, the agency decided to add two new members, Chloe and Do Hee on June 14, 2021. That way, Cignature still has 7 members.

10. LE SSERAFIM

LE SSERAFIM successfully broke the record as the group that lost the fastest members. Kim Garam’s contractwith the agency officially ended on Wednesday (20/7) yesterday. Interestingly, Kim Garam has only been actively promoting for 19 days as a member of LE SSERAFIM due to the alleged bullying scandal .
