The film stars Santhanam as private detective Agent Kannayiram, Riya Suman as someone aiding him in a particular case, Redin Kingsley as Deluxe, actor Madhan as Inspector Parithi who also doubles up as the villain of the story.
Agent Kannayiram is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, written by Swaroop RSJ and Navin Polishetty. The movie has been adapted and directed in Tamil by director Manoj Beedha.
