Unsolved Mysteries Volume 3 Release Date Announced By Netflix – GameRant

Unsolved Mysteries volume 3 now has a new release date as part of the Netflix and Chills October event, just in time for Halloween.
The long-running Unsolved Mysteries TV series is coming back again for a third season at its new home, Netflix. Thanks to a recent announcement, at least one mystery has been solved: the new season's release date.
Unsolved Mysteries will return again, just in time for Halloween. The release date for Volume 3, as announced by Netflix, will be October 18 of this year. The show is a mystery documentary series that focuses on cold cases and paranormal events. It first began in 1987 and has aired off-and-on for more than three decades and on five different networks and services, including its most recent broadcaster, Netflix, as of 2020.

The news of the release date was revealed today as part of Netflix's official “Netflix and Chills” lineup for the month of October. Most of the shows were already known to be released in time for Halloween, but the news underscores how jam-packed October will be. The full Netflix and Chills lineup is as follows: September will see the release of Queen Latifah and Ludacris' crime thriller End of the Road (Sep. 9), the kidnapping mystery film Lou (Sep. 23), and the children's series Phantom Pups (Sep. 30). In the first full week of October, viewers get the Stephen King film Mr. Harrigan's Phone (Oct. 5), the Mike Flanagan series The Midnight Club (Oct. 7), and the true crime documentary series Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes (Oct. 7).
The second week will see the release of the animated horror-comedy series Dead End: Paranormal Park season 2 (Oct. 13), the Marlon Wayans action comedy film The Curse of Bridge Hollow (Oct. 14), and Volume 3 of Unsolved Mysteries (Oct. 18). In the third week, viewers get the fantasy series The School for Good and Evil (Oct. 19) and Guillermo del Toro's horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities (Oct. 25). The final week of October will be haunted by the presence of the crime drama film The Good Nurse (Oct. 26; also set for a theatrical release on Oct. 19), the animated fantasy series Daniel Spellbound (Oct. 27), and the animated adventure comedy Wendell and Wild, which is co-written by Jordan Peele (Oct. 28).
The young adult series The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself is also scheduled to release sometime in October but does not yet have a firm date. Furthermore, several properties are scheduled for later in the year: the true crime documentary film Capturing the Killer Nurse (Nov. 11), the Norwegian fantasy horror film Troll (Dec. 1), and the Addams Family reboot series Wednesday (sometime in Fall). Somewhat surprising from these announcements is the fact that Jenna Ortega's Wednesday series will not release in time for October, and that it still does not have a firm release date. However, filming only concluded on March 30, so the series is most likely just not finished yet. In addition, there is a notable absence from the lineup: Rob Zombie's The Munsters reboot. The film is slated for a September 27 release on Netflix, and Zombie had stated on his Instagram that The Munsters and Wednesday would air at the same time, a nod to when the two series had competed on the airwaves back in the 1960s.
It's quite unusual that Netlix's press release would mention properties releasing months after Halloween, but not The Munsters only a few days before the start of October. Although we can only speculate, it seems Netflix may have left it off the list because of negative reactions to the first trailer and will try to release it quietly.
Unsolved Mysteries Volume 3 releases on Netflix on October 18, 2022.
