The Flash’s solo action movie has certainly taken its time coming into theatres despite being one of the quickest superheroes in all of comics. Since 2004, Warner Bros has been attempting to bring the hero to the big screen, but the DC film has failed miserably for a variety of reasons, including problems with the storyline, the director, or casting.
Barry Allen hasn’t taken the lead in a superhero movie yet, although The Flash has appeared in previous superhero flicks including The Lego Batman Movie and Justice League. Before now. The Scarlet Speedster will finally get his moment to shine in a story that will travel to other dimensions and feature both established and new heroes. Following his appearance in Zack Snyder’s Justice League with other notable DC characters, Ezra Miller is once again donning his trademark red and gold attire. The publication of The Flash will cause the cosmos to move in some very unexpected directions.
The TV show Arrowverse has nothing to do with this. However, during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, the speedster played by Grant Gustin and Barry Allen played by Ezra Miller briefly interacted.
Barry Allen seeks to go back in time to stop his mother from being murdered when he was a little kid, and The Flash will take inspiration from Geoff Johns’ The Flashpoint Paradox in this regard. Anyone who has ever seen a time travel film, such as Back to the Future or The Butterfly Effect, is aware that altering the past will have negative effects on the present and future.
The Flash will take inspiration from Geoff Johns’ The Flashpoint Paradox, as Since The Flash has appeared in comic books for the past 80 years, it’s safe to say that director Andy Muschietti and screenwriter Christina Hodson will have a wide variety of plots and antagonists to select from. Hodson’s work on 2019’s Birds of Prey must have satisfied Warner Bros because she is currently penning the script for the Batgirl movie with Bad Boys For Life filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
The Flash will take inspiration from Geoff Johns’ Flashpoint Paradox in that, if Barry succeeds in saving his mother, the world will take a strange new turn. Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton will both reprise their roles as their respective Batmen in the movie, which will also include him traveling around the cosmos. Even so, George Clooney has been very forthcoming about his exclusion from The Flash, so we know of one Batman who won’t be making a comeback.
For the first time since 1992’s Batman Returns, Michael Keaton dons the cape and cowl once more. But he’s not the only superhero joining The Flash in battle; Sasha Calle from The Young and the Restless will also make her DCEU debut as Supergirl.
Ezra Miller will play the main role in The Flash, and Michael Keaton’s Batman will make a comeback. Although many fans are already theorizing that the second version of The Flash that Miller will play in the movie is really Eobard Thawne, a.k.a. the Reverse-Flash, Miller is anticipated to play numerous incarnations of The Flash.
He is Barry’s old adversary from the third millennium, and he is so fixated on the hero that he even undergoes plastic surgery to resemble him. It would be intriguing to introduce Thawne in this fashion since he plays a significant role in the Flashpoint plot in the comics.
Sasha Calle as Supergirl and two alternate universe versions of Batman played by Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck join Miller in the cast. In her role as Iris West, Barry’s love interest, Kiersey Clemons is finally expected to receive some attention. She has a brief appearance in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, so maybe she will play a more active role this time around.
After being postponed from November 4, 2022, The Flash debuts in theatres on June 23, 2023. The fact that The Flash is finally making its way to theatres is quite astonishing considering how many releases dates it has had over the past seventeen years. Even if we’re only concentrating on the DCEU version of the speedster, in 2016 he was supposed to get his own movie. Yes, it is safe to assume that did not occur.
The release date of Seth Graeme-Barry Green’s Allen, starring Ezra Miller, was originally set for March 2018, however, it was postponed after he departed the film. Due to Ezra Miller’s obligations to another property, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Warner Bros then sought a 2021 release date.
