‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’ on Netflix: Cast, Release Date, Plot, Trailer and Everything You Need to Know – Netflix Junkie

The month of October comes with a bounty of spooky content for Netflix audiences. And joining the spooky trail is Mr. Harrigan’s Phone. The name of the movie is scary in itself because it sounds like a landlord’s name. Furthermore, the movie is based on Stephen King’s genius novella.

The film is written and directed by John Lee Hancock who is known for his work in Saving Mr. Banks. Adding more to the list of genius that have worked on the movie are Ryan Murphy and Jason Blum. If you are a horror movie fanatic, then you are probably familiar with The Town That Dreaded Sundown, which was also the masterpiece of the two. With its brilliant storyline and cinematography, the movie promises to give you the chills.
The movie follows a young boy named Craig who starts working for his rich neighbor. Over time, he makes friends with the elderly man name Mr. Harringan that lives next door. Later, he introduces his elderly friend to a phone, an iPhone to be more specific. Craig gets bullied at school and finds solace in Mr. Harringan, who unfortunately passes away.

As a way to find comfort, Craig dials up his late friend and tells him everything that has been troubling him, expecting nothing in return. However, when all of his enemies keep falling one by one, Craig soon realizes that this is no coincidence.

The movie is set up around the time that the first iPhone came out in 2007. The fact that it is set up in just the past decade makes it even scarier. Adding stars to the brilliant storyline is the phenomenal cast of the movie.

Jaeden Martell, famously known to star in It, plays the main character, Craig. Veteran actor Donald Sutherland portrays Mr. Harrigan. Kirby Howell Baptiste, Joe Tippett, Cyrus Arnold, and Carl Zohan play important roles in the movie. The production of the movie started back in 2020 and it has been crafted to perfection ever since. Netflix dropped the trailer to Stephen King’s Mr. Harrigan’s Phone on the 15th of September and will be releasing on Netflix on the 5th of October. The fact that the OTT Mughal has chosen it to release in the first week of October shows how promising it is.
