United States.- Ryan Reynolds is trying to persuade Ben Affleck for you to join Deadpool 3 like his version of Batman in order to mock the now defunct DC Extended Universe.
According to media sources Giant Freaking Robot the actor of deadpool wants the two-time winner of the Academy Awards appears in the third installation of the series essentially as a gag about the main competition of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While it could be quite funny, Ryan Reynolds and Ben Affleck’s reunion in Deadpool 3 could have some pretty big ramifications for both comic book universes.
To date, Ryan Reynolds and Ben Affleck have appeared in only one film together, the 2006 action comedy Smokin’ Aces, who also starred Chris Pine, Jason Bateman, Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta AND Alice Keyes. Deadpool 3 it would be an interesting reunion for the duo of Ryan Reynolds and Ben Affleck, who have had their share of ill-regarded superhero roles at the moment.
However, the idea that Affleck’s version of Bruce Wayne p.could appear in Deadpool 3 to mock the version of zack snyder from DC would basically create the first big crossover of Marvel AND DC at the cinema.
For decades, the comic book industry has been dominated by a rivalry between Marvel and DC Comics. There have been multiple crossover events between the two universes (particularly the miniseries DC vs. Marvel of nineteen ninety six driven by fan voting) of varying quality and canonicity, but so far, there hasn’t been any crossover between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe / DC Universe.

It would be very interesting if this momentous collaboration between gigantic shared cinematic universes happened because Ryan Reynolds basically wanted to do a gag with Ben Affleck, but stranger things have happened. While Ryan Reynolds is establishing himself as a prominent fixture in the MCU, the role of Ben Affleck in the new DC Universe of James Gunn it is much less secure.
One possibility is that Ryan Reynolds could make Ben Affleck appear in Deadpool 3 in a role that isn’t explicitly Batman/Bruce Wayne, but is implied. If Reynolds and his co-writers Wendy Molyneux AND Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin be careful about it, they could take advantage of Affleck’s Batman without worrying that it is a matter of crossing multiverses and especially rights.
It’s also worth noting that Ryan Reynolds trying to get Ben Affleck on Deadpool 3 isn’t the only unlikely casting call he’s pursued. To the delight of the fans, Reynolds managed to Hugh Jackman reprise the role of Wolverine for the film, after years of pestering the Australian actor (and even after Jackman announced that he had retired from the character). While it might not seem all that likely that Ryan Reynolds could fit in a Batman for the movie, it seems like it’s not all outside of his powers.
