HBO Max: Every Movie & TV Show Coming In September 2022 – Screen Rant

Despite HBO Max removing so many titles from the platform, September 2022 will still see some exciting additions – such as Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis.
Alongside continued weekly releases of key TV series, HBO Max’s September 2022 additions include the streaming premiere of a hit new movie. HBO Max has undergone a massive shift in the availability of many Warner Bros.-owned projects and originals throughout August as the compare prepares for its streaming merge with Discovery. With little or no warning, HBO Max took off several original shows like Generation, canceled highly anticipated upcoming projects such as Batgirl, and removed nearly 200 episodes of the classic children’s series Sesame Street. Despite the platform cutting down on its available content, HBO Max is still making room for select new titles in upcoming months.
In August 2022, HBO Max saw the long-awaited series premiere of House of the Dragon, the first spinoff from HBO’s Game of Thrones. The month was also notable for the addition of movies from A24’s catalog, such as Ex Machina, The Spectacular Now, and Room. HBO Max’s new August 2022 titles similarly included the streaming debuts of the 2021 movies Belfast and Wolf. Before the end of the month, the popular shows Industry, Sweet Life: Los Angeles, and House of Ho returned for their second seasons. Another surprise for August was the streaming availability of Abbott Elementary season 1 on HBO Max.
