We’ve officially started a new month, meaning there will be tons of new releases on Netflix. We’ve already had a peek at the list of new Netflix shows and movies coming in September, and there are so many good titles slated to come out throughout the month. However, we noticed the list did not include one of our favorite shows. We’re talking about All of Us Are Dead season 2. Sadly, the wait must go on for the second season, which is a bummer.
All of Us Are Dead is easily one of the best K-Dramas streaming on Netflix. The first season was released in January 2022 and quickly made a huge impact. The zombie series came out during a time when Korean series was the talk of the town. People were already watching Korean content, but the massive success of Squid Game put an even bigger spotlight on K-Dramas.
After the release of Squid Game, another successful Korean series called Hellbound came out. Hellbound even surpassed Squid Game as the most popular show on Netflix on its initial release. Naturally, people begin looking for more Korean content after finishing the dark fantasy show.
Fortunately, they didn’t have to wait too long because All of Us Are Dead would be released just a couple of months later. There was an instant buzz around the zombie series as soon as it dropped on Netflix, which wasn’t all that surprising because zombie shows are pretty popular. I mean, just look at the success of the Walking Dead.
But with the first season’s success, people couldn’t help but wonder about an All of Us Are Dead season 2. Unfortunately, fans were left in the dark about a second season for about five months until June 6, when Netflix officially announced that the show would be returning for a second season. Now, everyone’s waiting for All of Us Are Dead season 2 to make its way to Netflix.
We do not have an official release date yet. As we mentioned earlier, All of Us Are Dead season 2 was announced at Netflix Geeked Week on June 6. However, the creative team has been hush-hush with any details surrounding the second season. According to What’s on Netflix, the show started pre-production on July 13. But it’s unclear when principal photography will begin. We can only hope that cameras start rolling by the end of 2022.
Since production hasn’t started, it makes it difficult to figure out when exactly All of Us Are Dead season 2 could arrive on Netflix. However, our best release prediction is sometime in 2023 at the earliest or sometime in 2024 at the latest. We’ll need more information to give a more specific release date prediction. But for now, expect a 2023 or 2024 release for All of Us Are Dead season 2.
