‘Meet Cute’ OTT Release Date: Telugu Anthology ‘Meet Cute’ to be available to watch online on SonyLIV From November 25 – Pricebaba Daily

Ever since the launch of OTT platforms, Indian filmmakers have found a new way of presenting stories in the form of an Anthology. This format has also been appreciated by audience, and it is clear that with previous releases like Lust Stories, Ghost Stories, Modern Love (India), Puttham Puthu Kaadal and more, anthologies are here to stay and also have become means to showcase multiple stories on one subject.

Indian OTT giant, SonyLIV, had recently announced a new Telugu original series “Meet Cute” and the trailer for the same was loved by the audience. Written and directed by Deepali Ghanta, the anthology features several stories showcasing the relationship built over accidental meeting between two characters. Produced by ace actor, Nani, Meet Cute will include five stories. The lyrics, for the songs, have been penned by Krishnakanth, and the music has been given by Vijai Bulganin. The cinematography has been done by A.Vasanth and editing by Garry BH.
The films boasts of an eminent cast which include Ashwin Kumar, Varsha Bollamma, Sri Vidya P,Sameer Malla, Rohini, Aakanskha Singh, Surekha Vani, Dheekshith Shetty, Sripriya Iduri, Adah Sharma, Alekhya Harika, Shiva Kandukuri, Sunainaa, Sanchitha Poonacha, Govind Padmasoorya, Kivish, Kalyani Natarajan,  and DD Srinivas.

Fans can watch Meet Cute, on SonyLIV, on November 25.
Announcement regarding the same was shared by SonyLIV, and the tweet in Telugu (as translated) read,  “A good conversation can change lives! Nani presents #MeetCute, from 25th of this month on your Sony LIV.”

Sharing the details on YouTube, the message said, “Prepare yourself to watch the teaser of adorable urban love stories produced by Prashanti Tipirneni and directed by Deepthi Ghanta.”
The anthology will feature a total of five films – Meet the Boy, Sathyaraj, Ruhani Sharma, Raaja Chembolu, In L(AW)OVE, Star Struck, and Ex – Girl Friend. Each story is said to be different in its own way and the performances have been lauded by the critics.

Meet the boy is the story revolving around an accomplished IT professional girl who is reluctant to meet a boy for marriage, and the second story ‘Old is Gold’ showcases the journey of Saru and a retired journalist Mohan Rao over a conversation that changes perspective towards relationships. ‘InL(aw)ove’ is a journey about a mother who follows his son’s secret girlfriend in the quest to know more.
The fourth story, Star Struck, is about a popular person, Shalini, who is stranded on a street and takes a ride with a stranger. The final story, Ex-Girlfriend, revolves between Anjana, a newly married, who accidentally meets his husband’s ex-girlfriend.

Sharing the trailer and the announcement, produced Nani mentioned that the stories of ‘Meet Cute’ will resonate with the audience and make them nostalgic about the sweet, awkward, and the accidental conversations they have had in their lives. A press statement quoted Nani, who said, “There is a sense of familiarity, and the audience will be able to resonate with these very real-life situations. We will be pleased to say that our message has been received if the audience experiences even half of what the actors experienced while acting out the scenes.”
