Do you know how to plant cabbages, fashionable, fashionable… That’s it, you have the song in your head? These are not cabbages, but Mandrakes that you will have the opportunity to plant and repot at Warner Bros. Leavesden Harry Potter Studio Tour from July 2022!
After a few days of teasing on social networks, the Studio Tour has announced a permanent expansion of its outdoor space, which will be accessible to the public from July 1st . The Potter house, which had deteriorated over the years, was removed. Instead, visitors will soon be able to visit the Hogwarts Botanical Greenhouse , and take a closer look at many props and decorative elements, such as the poisonous Tentacula or the Mandrake jars. In an effort to add more interactivity, visitors will be able to pose repotting a mandrake; an activity that is reminiscent of what was offered during the traveling Harry Potter exhibition .
Other sets will also be added: the fountain in the courtyard of Hogwarts , as well as a 1/3 scale reproduction of the Burrow . The addition of this model will be an opportunity to explain to visitors how the scenes outside the Burrow were shot, particularly in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
These decorations can be admired from July 1, 2022.
A TEMPORARY EVENT ON PLANTS AND MAGICAL CREATURES
In parallel with these permanent additions, the Studio Tour will inaugurate a new temporary event; ” Mandrakes and Magical Creatures”, which will be held until September 12.

On this occasion, the Great Hall of Hogwarts will be decorated as during the reentry in the Prisoner of Azkaban . Visitors will be greeted by the Hogwarts Choir, and the Choir Master’s costume, performed by Warwick Davis, will be on display. Throughout the tour, magical creature animatronics will be on display in the sets, including the Cornish Elves, Fawkes the Phoenix, and the Monstrous Book of Monsters.
Workshops to explore how thestrals and mandrakes are animated on screen, with a mix of special effects and mock-ups, will also be offered.
