aespa finally officially comeback with the mini album “MY WORLD” today, Monday, May 8th. The music video or MV for “Spicy” as the main song was also released at 6 pm KST.
Karina , Giselle , Winter , and Ningning gave a much different color compared to their previous MVs. These four beautiful idols seemed to leave Kwangya and show their real life through the “Spicy” MV.
Even so, the fantasy side is still depicted in aespa’s new MV. This is shown from the time that was stopped around Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning.
Fans on Twitter later felt that the “Spicy” MV was related to aespa’s MVs from “Black Mamba” to the previously released “Welcome to MY World”.
As shown in the comeback teaser , a “strange phenomenon” was pointed out. Fans theorize the “Spicy” MV suggests that during the day an organism appears roaming around causing nature to change. Thus, at night time freezes to overcome the chaos.
aespa becomes someone who is aware of this “strange phenomenon” and they don’t freeze too so they are engrossed in enjoying the party amidst the time that has stopped. Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning did this so many times that they were nicknamed “Spicy Girls” on the poster. They are considered full of controversy because they make a mess every time they freeze like painting a car.
Furthermore, the “Spicy” MV ends by illustrating that Aespa has left the chaos of cyberspace. Starting from defeating the Black Mamba to bringing the naevis from Kwangya to the real world.
