SM Entertainment has announced news that will make NCT fans worry. Taeil NCT confirmed that he is now positive for the corona virus after undergoing a PCR test.
Taeil himself is currently together with NCT 127 members undergoing quarantine in Japan before starting their Dome concert. Taeil was finally unable to attend the concert on May 22 at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya.
We would like to inform you that Taeil, a member of NCT 127’s second world tour ‘NEO CITY: JAPAN-THE LINK’, which will be held on May 22, will not be attending the Vantelin Dome Nagoya performance, ” said SM Entertainment, Wednesday (18/5).
Taeil left for Japan on the 15th after receiving a negative PCR test to attend Japan’s schedule. After entering the country, self-isolation was carried out for 3 days according to local quarantine rules, and on the 18th, a PCR test was carried out to shorten the quarantine period positive for Corona -19, ” explained SM Entertainment.
The NCT agency confirmed that Taeil had received the complete Covid-19 vaccine up to the 3rd dose. Taeil is said to have no symptoms and is currently undergoing self-quarantine and prescribed treatment.
” Taeil has completed his third dose of the vaccine and is currently asymptomatic, and is self-quarantining and receiving treatment according to local quarantine guidelines, ” said SM Entertainment.
SM Entertainment confirmed that the other NCT 127 members had negative results on their tests and were not judged to be in close contact with Taeil and were therefore released from quarantine. The agency also asks fans to understand the situation and make sure their artist’s health is of the utmost importance.
” With the exception of Taeil, NCT 127 members tested negative for Covid-19, and after the 16th, they were not included in the Japanese public health center’s policy to classify contacts as close contacts, so they were released from quarantine ,” explained SM Entertainment.
” Therefore, the Vantelin Dome Nagoya performance on May 22 will be held with 8 members: Johnny , Taeyong , Yuta , Doyoung , Jaehyun , Jungwoo , Mark ( Mark Lee ), and Haechan . We ask for your understanding ,” the well-known agency asked.
