Kim Woo-bin appeared on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’, which aired on the 10th, and recalled the time when he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017 and fought the disease. He could have been frustrated by news like a thunderstorm from Cheongcheon, but he thought it was “a vacation given by heaven.” “It’s kind of positive at first. All the viewers were moved by Kim Woo-bin, who said, “I don’t think there are only disadvantages and only strengths in everything.”

He said, “I thought maybe the sky gave me a vacation because I couldn’t rest and was busy. Since you gave me a vacation, I said yes and looked at my family. My mom’s eyes look like this. She felt sad and happy and mixed,” he recalled.

 

Nasopharyngeal cancer is a malignant tumor that develops in the uppermost part of the pharynx, from the base of the brain to the soft palate. Because it is difficult to remove surgically and the results of radiation treatment are good, Kim Woo-bin is also known to have undergone more than 35 radiation treatments and 3 or more chemotherapy treatments. 

Kim Woo-bin, who said, “I will greet you again one day in good health as if nothing had happened,” kept that promise. After being cured in 2019, he met the public after 6 years with the tvN drama ‘Our Blues’. As if to repay director Choi Dong-hoon for waiting for him, he completed the movie ‘Alien + People’ wonderfully and even appeared in the variety show ‘Somehow the President’ and worked hard in good health.

Kim Woo-bin said, “I left a handwritten letter to the fans. He wrote that he wanted to say hello without any incident, but he wanted to keep that promise,” he said. As a result, he thinks that he cannot live harder than today. I received so many prayers when I was sick. He felt sorry for me just because his face was known. I believe that thanks to that power, I got healthier faster.”

In particular, he said, “I pray with the hope that the prayer I received will be delivered to even one more person. It’s not that these things happened to us because we did something wrong and lived our lives wrong, it’s just that we were unlucky among them. Don’t waste your time regretting or blaming yourself. I will pray earnestly for miracles to happen in more families today,” he cheered for those struggling with the disease.
