[OSEN=Reporter Choi Na-young] 79-year-old Robert De Niro, known for his roles in the films ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘Mean Streets’, ‘The Godfather’ and ‘Fists of Fury’, welcomed his 7th baby.
According to reports from foreign media such as Page Six on the 9th (local time), De Niro, who will turn 80 in August, recently announced the birth of his seventh child. The child’s mother is believed to be his girlfriend, martial arts instructor Tiffany Chen, who is about 40 years younger than De Niro. Chen is a tai chi instructor who met De Niro through the 2015 movie ‘The Intern’. There is a scene where Tai Chi appears in ‘The Intern’. Sean Levy, author of De Niro: A Life, a 2014 biography of De Niro, told Page Six that “when I heard he had another baby, my jaw dropped.”
“What I mean is that when he graduates from college he will be 102 years old. It’s crazy,” he said. And it’s about keeping ex-partners close.”
De Niro had seven children with his first wife, Diane Abbott, and four other women. His eldest daughter, Drena De Niro, is 51 years older than her youngest.
De Niro was also rumored to have an affair with models Naomi Campbell, Veronica Webb, and actress Lee Taylor-Young. Recently, De Niro corrected ET Canada’s statement that he was a ‘father of six’ and said, “I just got a (new) baby.” De Niro, meanwhile, told People in 2020 that while he did not force his children to enter the entertainment industry, he did not stop them either.
