Kaapa OTT Release Date: Cast, Storyline, When and Where to Watch Online – Pricebaba Daily

Kaapa, the Mollywood film, was released in the theatres on December 22nd 2022.  It was released during the Christmas break. Kaapa, with a 134 minutes runtime, received mixed reviews from the critics. The movie has earned ₹17.2 crores (in 12 days) at the box office. It was revealed in December 2022 that the entertainment streaming platform Netflix has bagged Kaapa’s digital rights, and its OTT release date has now been finalized. The Malayalam language film Kaapa will be available on the OTT streaming platform Netflix. The action thriller film will be available online from January 19th 2023.
On the streaming platform Netflix India, when a user searches for ‘Kaapa’, the movie page opens, and the words ‘Coming on 19 January’ is shown in bold letters. Thus this confirms the OTT arrival date of the film. The film is based on Shankumukhi by G. R. Indugopan. Manju Warrier was cast as a pivotal character in the film, but later she opted out, as she was busy filming Thunivu.
The star cast includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, Dileesh Pothan, Anna Ben, Jagadish Kumar, Nandhu, Sagar Surya, Sajitha Madathil, Senthil Krishna, Biju Pappan, Sreeya Remesh, Padmakumar, Jaise Jose and Gundkaadu Saabu. G. R. Indugopan is the writer, and Shaji Kailas is the director of Kaapa. Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu V. Abraham, Siddharth Anand Kumar, Dileesh Nair and Vikram Mehra are the producers. Jomon T. John is the cinematographer, and Dawn Vincent & Jakes Bejoy are the music composers. Kaapa is bankrolled by Saregama India, Fefka Writers Union and Theatre of Dreams.

Anand (Asif Ali) and Binu (Anna Ben), a happily married couple, are transferred to Thiruvananthapuram as part of their work. However, their happiness is halted when Anand discovers that Binu’s name is present in the KAAPA (Kerala Anti-social Activities Prevention Act) because of news stories that carry her name and the crimes she supposedly committed. Anand wants to clear her name, and he seeks P. N. Madhukumar, a.k.a Kotta Madhu (Prithviraj Sukumaran) and Prameela’s (Aparna Balamurali) help. Kotta Madhu, is the city’s leading gangster.  Prameela is Kotta Madhu’s wife. Trying to clear Binu’s name, Anand inadvertently gets caught up between the rivalry of the local gangs and gang wars.
