2022 has a ton of great movies coming out, with Avatar 2, Black Adam, Strange World and Thor: Love and Thunder being just a few of them.
2022 has already seen tons of great films released, both in the theaters and at home through streaming services. From hellish ends to classic franchises, as well as the potential beginnings of new ones, there's a lot to look forward to in the latter half of the movie-going year. Even beyond big franchises like Avatar, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC films, the cinema has tons of surprises waiting for audiences.
With all these movies coming out and the theater experience getting back to normal, it's almost hard to keep up with them, especially their release dates. The biggest release in the Thanksgiving season will undoubtedly be the MCU's return to Wakanda, with Pixar also getting in a potential hit animated movie. Disney+ will also be bringing the sequel to a beloved 2000s Disney flick to the company's streaming service, making things magical as the end of the year approaches.

Perhaps the most awaited movie in over a decade is finally leaving the hills of Pandora and coming to the big screen in December 2022. Another big movie will see a fan-favorite Shrek-related cat go on a quest for another nine lives.

Some films have been previously announced as coming out in 2022, though that window is now unlikely to be met. These movies are sure to be pushed back to 2023, especially since much of the box office and streaming schedule has been fairly solidified for many studios.
