After the success of the first two Black Panther movies, fans have been eagerly waiting for the announcement of the new cast for the third installment. Finally, the wait is over as Marvel has revealed the new cast members for Black Panther 3.

Chadwick Boseman’s Legacy

Before we dive into the new cast, we must acknowledge the late Chadwick Boseman’s contribution to the Black Panther franchise. Boseman played the role of T’Challa, the Black Panther and king of Wakanda, in the first two movies. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2020, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Meet the New Cast

Namor – Henry Golding

Henry Golding, known for his role in Crazy Rich Asians, will be playing the role of Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Namor is a mutant with the ability to breathe underwater and superhuman strength.

Shuri – Letitia Wright

Letitia Wright will be reprising her role as Shuri, T’Challa’s younger sister and the new Black Panther.

Okoye – Danai Gurira

Danai Gurira will also be returning as Okoye, the leader of the Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s all-female special forces unit.

Nakia – Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’o will be reprising her role as Nakia, T’Challa’s love interest and a member of the Dora Milaje.

M’Baku – Winston Duke

Winston Duke will be returning as M’Baku, the leader of the Jabari tribe and T’Challa’s ally.

Riri Williams – Zendaya

Zendaya will be playing the role of Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart. Riri is a teenage genius who creates her own Iron Man suit.

Kasper Cole – Michael B. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan, who played the villainous Killmonger in the first Black Panther movie, will be returning as Kasper Cole, also known as White Tiger. Kasper is a police officer who gains superhuman abilities after being injected with a version of the heart-shaped herb.


With the new cast members announced, fans of the Black Panther franchise are excited to see what the third installment has in store. Although the movie will undoubtedly feel different without Chadwick Boseman, the new cast members are sure to bring their own unique perspectives and talents to the film.
